I guess I am just not that an avid blogger... it has been so long since the last entry that I forgot how to add a post...
Florida is sunny and warm and wonderful (at least most of the time). It's good enough that we are in the process of buying a house in Seminole. Why? Well, it is on the water, has a boat dock, lovely light and airy, and is close to a Stein Mart (oh yeah, and a gym which we have already joined). We'll see how that goes. Since I started my 'diet' and 'exercise' program I have gained 3 pounds. Forced to keep track and even log food intake seems to keep me totally focused on food! Eating snacks to keep my body from entering the so called 'starvation mode' where supposedly the body stores fat like crazy fearing starvation... well, my body seems to like to keep the snacks around... right around my middle mostly!
However, dauntless, I carry on!

It's been a good day all in all. We have had a beautiful little white cat that appeared to have adopted us hanging around the patio, etc. At first she would appear only in the evenings but lately she would be here all day long. Since we are leaving for Florida on Saturday we were quite concerned about what to do about her, she is obviously a domesticated cat who loves being petted, etc. She is completely snow white with beautiful yellow-green eyes. Anyway, I mentioned the cat today to my oncologist as we were having our semi-annual visit. She mentioned that another of her patients whom she had just seen this morning had lost her cat and was wishing for a new kitty. My oncologist gave said patient our phone number, a call was made, she came to meet Miss Kitty and now our homeless little friend has a good home. What a wonderful day!!

This is a very funny piece by Jon Stewart... Is he the only one with some semblance of sanity?
The ant's story... climg up the stem, make one's self presentable to enter the sacred heart of the lily!
The heart of one of the dark lilies. Why wouldn't an ant want to climb in? Inviting indeed!

This lily has a spider doing a balancing act, perhaps hiding from the insect above.
I like the contrast of the blooming lily and the dead... the process of aging.
A little wasp drops by for a sip...
Was hoping you might enjoy some lilies... but of course, there is nobody currently following this blog. However, I truly believe that at some future date there might be someone or someones...
These lilies were captured digitally on July 27 of this year. They were growing in our back yard.
Currently, great relief. I left my beloved camera at my sister's a couple of weeks ago. Since we are leaving for Florida in a week, I needed to retrieve the camera and we thought we were going to have to drive down to Wareham to retrieve it (it is bulky, expensive and currently in a backpack so difficult to transport up here). Today my darling sister called to tell me she will have it packaged and on its way to me tomorrow... two day delivery. Hooray, no rush trip tomorrow.

Once again, the full blooming and waning of the lily... |
